The AKS74 doesn't have a laminate handguard and a plum mag.

The models produced in the 70s and 80s did, later production made use plum and plastic as early as 1985 though on many occasions troops in the former S.U. would use whatever furniture on the 5.45 rifles when it was on hand. You'll often see 74's with laminate wood buttstocks and plum handguards or 74m's with black plastic folding buttstocks and laminate handguards.
